Electric Tractors - Community Engaged Learning

At Hampshire College there are requirements beyond the classroom. For my Community Engaged Learning activity, I worked with members of the Hampshire College farm to convert one of their tractors to electric. This helped reduce maintenance costs and pollution, and aligned with the school's larger mission.

Since completing this project I have worked with Stone Soup Farm and Riverland Farm to convert more tractors to electric and provide service for them. There are now five fully electric tractors in the Pioneer valley of Massachusetts that I have converted or helped convert to electricity.
