Projects
I like to solve problems at the intersection of electrical and mechanical engineering. If I can write some basic firmware to augment that, even better.

ROAR! Robot Open Autonomous Racing
For my Master's thesis I am working with a great team to develop a 1/10th scale self-driving race car. I am contributing to the firmware development of the microcontroller and simultaneously contributing to the iOS app with which the car communicates. I am also designing a custom PCB to connect and multiplex the MCU, radio receiver, steering, and throttle.

Remote Feelings
For my embedded systems course I am developing a force-feedback haptic glove, which connects with a remote robot to allow users to control the robot and "feel" what it's doing. We hope to demonstrate usefulness in the area of micro surgery, remote surgery, or any application requiring remote robotics operations. All of these designs are open-source, and the gloves would work great for VR applications as well. Github

The Electric Sonett
My Undergrad thesis project: The Electric Sonett, explored the feasibility of converting old cars to electric to save on fuel costs for commuters. Link
